Time and Prophecies

Time and prophecies are related, and the future may be knowable. Two theories exist as to this relationship. According to Determinism, everything happens for a reason or as a result of mechanical interactions. According to quantum physics, free will can change the outcome of prophecies, which are just possibilities.

Theories of Time and Prophecies of Future Events

Time can be viewed in a number of ways, including a road or river. In terms of quantum physics, time can be seen as a multi-lane highway.

Quantum physics is the study of minute units of bursts of light or radiating waves – non-physical forces whose movements create our physical world. The speed of the light vibrations determines the nature of creation – solid matter, living organism, or just a signal. This could explain the mystery that only 10% of the mass of the universe is accounted for. Perhaps 90% of the universe may be beyond measurement in its higher states of expression, and there may be parallel universes, as some have postulated.

Elaborating on the unseen forces of nature, Nobel Prize-winning physicist Max Planck said at the time of accepting his Prize: “As a man who has devoted his whole life to the most clear-headed science, to the study of matter, I can tell you as the result of my research about the atom this much: There is no matter as such! All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particles of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together … We must assume behind the force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter.”

Based on quantum physics, time can be seen as a multi-lane road or several paths travelling side by side. These lanes are similar but have differences, where events can lead to different outcomes. This implies that each possibility or outcome is already created and present in the world – perhaps as an embryonic mix of the physical and non-physical.

Along the multi-lane road are “choice points” or bridges that make it possible to begin one path and change course to experience the outcome of a new path. This involves changing one’s belief system about a situation. Thoughts, feelings and emotions of a new reality enable a quantum leap from one outcome to another. We determine how we see events by the way we feel about what is happening. Our view of events can range from a disaster to a rare birth and a shift resulting in joy and peace.

It has been shown that in quantum physics, two atoms can occupy the same space at the same time. With the possibility of choosing a new outcome, as one outcome gives way to another, for a brief moment, the two must also occupy the same space at the same time.

The so called “Butterfly Effect” means there is a sensitive dependence of an outcome on the initial conditions, i.e., tiny changes in the initial conditions can lead to big changes in a later outcome. For example, a local error can lead to global consequences. With prophecies, any change within the lifetime of a prophecy will affect its outcome. The change can only be made at certain points – choice points – where the “parallel time roads” approach each other and a “bridge” exists between them.

In light of quantum physics, time can also be seen as consisting of bursts of light. If that is so, then in the spaces between the bursts, as in the stillness between breaths, is where mysteries dwell and miracles occur.

Insights from Hopi Prophecies

Study of the Hopi people, an Indian tribe in north Arizona whose name means “people of peace”, can be very instructive for us. The Hopi see history and prophecy as two roads representing the life choices of humanity. While the paths appear to start out similar, the upper road gradually turns into a broken zig-zag line ending nowhere. Those following it have their heads detached, hovering above their bodies, and are heading for a time of confusion, chaos and destruction. The lower path remains even and solid, and the people and their produce are strong and healthy. Two-thirds along the way, a vertical line connects the two paths – the last choice point in the language of quantum physics. Up to this point, people can explore both paths moving from one to the other. Afterwards, the choices are set and there is no return.

Holding to lower path – the Creator’s path – will lead to gains and blessings which will never be lost. However, we are always required to choose the path we are on. Nature informs us of the right path. Hearing of or experiencing such things as earthquakes, floods, draughts, famines, water shortages, as well as crime and violence on a daily basis is a signal to re-evaluate our beliefs. This should lead to honoring the truths we have and releasing those ideas than no longer serve us. Such change of belief and perspective will then enable us to return to the right path.

Our record-breaking extremes in nature suggest we are in the time of purification. How severe this will be depends on our individual and collective responses to the challenges that we are facing. The Hopi prophecies include three shakings of the earth. The first two are seen as the two world wars. The third is yet undetermined and depends on which path humanity will choose – the one of greed, comfort and profit, or the path of love, strength and balance. There is power in a common group focus irrespective of their beliefs. If only a small fraction of humanity (1% or even 0.1%) will choose life-enhancing beliefs and practices promoting love and peace, the prophesied calamities can be avoided or minimized.

Our Choices in Time and Prophecies

Prophecy and predictions are nothing more than a probability of outcomes. We, in our time, have the free will to attune to and choose these outcomes through our viewpoint on life. In every problem, there is a solution. We are invited to choose the quality of thought, emotion and feeling that allows us to “bend” the waves of time and bring these conditions into the focus of the present – as a manifestation of faith in the desired outcome. Even though the outcome is not in view yet, we can give thanks for the opportunity to have chosen it and planted the seed to germinate in due time.

The Isaiah Effect

In other words, we may change the outcome of our future through our present choices because no prophecy is fixed. This can be called The Isaiah Effect because in the book of Isaiah, prophecies of gloom, doom, death and destruction alternate with visions of peace, prosperity and paradise conditions. Rather than one destined to follow the other, they may be insights into quantum waves of possibilities. Those living at the time have the opportunity to change the disastrous outcomes if they know how.

Isaiah’s prophecies may have another clue for us today. “Mountain” is often used as a symbol for a place of refuge and unveiling empowerment to see. It is also the symbol for the Heavenly Jerusalem or “vision of peace”. This vision is the place of refuge from destruction. Through collectively, even as a small group, choosing peace in our lives, rather than the prevalent attitudes of greed and war, we’ll ensure the survival of our species and the future of the earth.
